Leeds-based lifetime mortgage lender Pure Retirement, in partnership with the Advise Wise sourcing platform for financial advisers, are pleased to announce their fundraising initiative for the British Red Cross’ COVID-19 efforts. Through the hosting of their inaugural Big Equity Release Quiz, over £800 has been raised so far with the fund still open for donations.
Held on the morning of Wednesday May 6th, the quiz saw both a number of Pure’s own staff and a mixture of participants from across the industry come together to test their knowledge of the market in a show of friendly competition in aid of a good cause. Over 100 people registered to take part, with Pure Retirement donating £5 for each person who registered plus additional participants on the day. Both contestants and the wider sector as a whole were also encouraged to donate to a dedicated Just Giving page.
Speaking of the results of the initiative the company’s Head of Intermediary Sales, Chris Flowers, says: "It’s been great to be able to bring both our own workforce and the wider industry together in aid of a charitable cause. We’re all too aware that we’re living in uncertain times at the moment, and given our knowledge and understanding of those in later life we appreciate that it’s a time of great vulnerability for many. With resources so stretched, it’s pleasing to be able to offer some financial support to those doing such great work among our communities."
